Nurses are always rude. You will always wait AT LEAST an hour after your scheduled appointment time. I just called to reschedule and the woman on the phone actually told me they overbook appointments everyday...who on earth has an entire day to spend waiting on this guy? His PA's are ALWAYS incredibly rude and condescending. No one there talks to patients like patients, they talk to everyone like they sit at home and read their Gray's Anatomy's all day. Therefore once the doctor has left giving you zero helpful information, because he's so busy talking to his tape recorder instead of you, his PA then talks to you like an you're an idiot because you don't know medical jargon. Then there's the guy that's dressed like he wants to work in Hot Topic. Always wears a black t-shirts, black cargo (sort of) pants, and covered in a ton of skull jewelry...He may be the best (whatever he is) ever, but he looks like extremely unprofessional. I will never and have never recommended this place to anyone. If negative stars was an option, that's what I would give.

  • I have been in 4 different times for 2 separate issues. I have always gotten in quickly. With the exception of one physician I have been treated with dignity, care and respect. I'm not going to mention that doctor's name because we all have bad days. Most recently I have seen LaDena Ballard, Dr. Chalkin's PA. She has been kind, thorough, respectful and took the time to answer every question I had. I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Chalkin. After my experiences there with everyone from the front desk on, I have no worries about my future surgery or aftercare.

Dr. Chalkin was ok and surgery went well. But his Assistant Ladena Ballard was absolutely horrible. She and her receptionist were extremely rude with me and were very argumentative with me. I'm a veteran and when I asked her to clarify her paperwork for VA disability purposes, she refused to to do it. I had to call above her to finally get it done. She was enough to keep me from ever using The Orthopedic Center again. Customer service didn't seem a high priority.

This place is the most none organized most horrifying place you can imagine. The 1st few times I went in I didn't even see a Dr. It was some assistant that should not even be in control of prescriptions of the type I am prescribed. I was 1st referred to a Dr Bernard which I never saw. Then a 2nd Dr and Last Dr. Ryan Coughlyne. They kept reducing my medication till I was on the lowest dose of that specified type I am prescribed. That I have no problem with. What is a problem and now will become a legal issue is the fact that Dr.Coughline has now left she was suppose to call in my medication on 09/12/2017. I have been calling their office for two weeks with no return call no nothing. I finally get a hold of a man named Bob not a Dr. He goes over Dr Coughlyne notes and says ok I'll call in your medication then calls back 5 min later stating he can't call in my medication cause they had a meeting today stating certain medication can no longer be written. I'm like ok then what do I need to do to be able to stop taking this medication that my body is depended on. He say I don't know I can't call it in. This man is not even a Doctor. A Doctor did not even look at the other Dr's note. This Bob guy just says I can't do anything. I was going to try the shots that lead to a procedure that would deaden the pain nerves but even with that I was told I would still need medication for my lower back, but the deadening of the other nerves might reduce the amount of pain at c4,c5 and c6 that cause Debilitating pain to the point I can not set up or stand long. The next thing this guy goes to tell me is that my psychiatrist can prescribe my pain medication. I'm like excuse me he is a psychiatrist not a pain Managment Dr. "I don't want a urologist working on my cardiovascular system." I was referred by my pcp on a draw of the hat for this office cause the original pain Managment clinic they wanted to refer me to could not get me an appointment by the time my medication was due. When I had started at The Orthopedic center. Unfortunately, my original pain Managment Dr Called after my referral was already made to the orthopedic center. The first time I went into this place a elderly woman was welling in pain and they refused to give her, her medication. It so happened that my deceased father knew this woman she did not regonize me but I know for a fact this woman did not discuss her medication and continued working well past her 60's. There was no reason to refuse her, her medication. I should of never went back at that point..But, knowing I was doing everything I was required to due by the law and knowing that multiple Dr's including ER, Orthopetic specialist and 10yrs of pain Managment told me I needed this medication to be able to partially function I thought there would be no problem. That being said most of the time Dr. Coughlyne was alone and over booked. The rest of the staff were not even Dr's making decisions on rather a patient gets their medication or not. That being said a copy of this letter is being sent to The Orthopedic Center. If anything is to happen to me due to their lack of medical negligence a lawyer has been contact. My pcp and a new pain Managment referrel are in the work in a matter of 30 min after The Orthopedic Center didn't even have a Dr to look at medical records.. This is dangerous, neglectful and ill-responsible Along with sending this letter to The Orthopedic Center, I am also sending information to the Oklahoma State Medical Board. Who ever is in charge of this place needs to be investigated and shut down. It is unacceptable that you never even see a Dr and a so called Assistant is in charge of your medication. Which I have yet to even view if they have any medical degree. I would not recommend anyone to visit this facility!
